Emotional Resolution

How does it work?

When you are in the presence of a stimulus that triggers an emotional response (for ex. anxiety) is because your brain thinks about it as a danger due to a past experience. And your body is going to have a physical reaction similar to the one it had when that happened.

We use what’s called viscero-somatic quieting (™), which is letting the brain update the prediction while in presence of the stimulus that creates the reaction in a safe environment - by safe I mean, the stimulus is in the brain, so it’s really safe -.

Once you’ve integrated these emotions, the brain will remember not to create this prediction anymore, so it will no longer have an impact on your life in that situation.

Every EmRes session includes 3 steps:

  • A free assessment over the phone: You will explain to me the emotional difficulty you would like to work on. I will let you know how to prepare for the session, as well as answer any questions.

    Time required: 20-30 minutes.

  • The actual session.

Time required varies, but please budget between 45 and 60 minutes.

  • Check-in: a few days after the session we will evaluate the result of our work together.

Everybody’s stories, situations, budgets are different.

I offer personalized solutions in order to achieve what needs to be achieved.

Do not hesitate to schedule a free consultation to discuss what can be done.

Emotional Resolution (EmRes) is a somatic therapy that helps you to update the predictions of the brain that no longer serve you.

With Emres, you can release the emotions trapped in your body and rewire your somatic response, so they no longer impact your life.

Let’s say that you go to a new ice cream shop because you fancy some strawberry sorbet, and when you arrive, they don’t have all the labels ready yet.

You see pink ice cream, and instantly think… berry flavour for sure, I will go with that.

When you’re about to taste it, your brain is already experiencing how this ice cream is going to taste, you can feel the sweetness even before the spoon touches your tongue.

But what if instead of berries, it was salmon flavour?

At first, you’ll experience a bit of a shock, but after that, you will no longer trust that pink ice cream is berry flavour unless you see the label: congratulations, you’ve updated the prediction of your brain!

What if you could do this with your triggers, so they no longer become an obstacle in your life?

How different would things be?
